Why Flat Fees?
You have enough things to worry about. An unexpected legal bill shouldn’t be one of them. That is why we promise to show you what your costs will be before you incur them. Pepitone Family Law has offices in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and serves clients in Gwinnett County, the Greater Atlanta Area, Savannah, and all of Chatham County. We are dedicated to honoring the best interests of you and your family and will provide you with an honest assessment of your situation and help you prepare a plan to create a fair and amicable settlement. An outline of typical fees is below.
Uncontested Divorce
An uncontested case is one in which the parties have come to a full and complete agreement prior to engaging our firm. We prepare all of the documents in line with your agreement, file them in the appropriate jurisdiction and in most cases can finalize your case without any court appearances at all.
While each case is unique and will be quoted according to the specific details involved, our fees for each category of uncontested divorce case begin at the following amounts.
Simple Uncontested Divorce
$4,500
A simple uncontested divorce involves the disposition of limited marital assets and does not involve child custody or support.
Moderate Uncontested Divorce
$7,500
A moderate uncontested divorce involves the disposition of marital assets which are more complex in nature and may involve child custody or support.
Complex Uncontested Divorce
$10,000+
A complex uncontested divorce involves the disposition of the most complex varieties of marital assets such as marital businesses, multiple properties and investment accounts, complicated custody schedules or spousal support structures.
Contested Divorce
A contested divorce is not always contentious. "Contested" simply means that the parties have not reached a full and complete agreement prior to engaging our firm. Representation begins with a detailed strategy session during which we formulate your path to success, and a fee schedule is set based on the anticipated posture and complexity of your unique case.
While each case is unique and will be quoted according to the specific details involved, our fees for each category of uncontested divorce.
Simple Contested Divorce
$7,500
A simple contested divorce involves negotiating or litigating for the disposition of limited marital assets and does not involve child custody or support. Minimal financial discovery may be required, and settlement prior to trial is likely.
Moderate Contested Divorce
$10,000
A moderate contested divorce involves the negotiating or litigating for the disposition of marital assets which are more complex in nature and may involve child custody or support. Discovery will likely be required, and settlement prior to trial is still likely but perhaps less so than in a "simple" contested divorce.
Complex Contested Divorce
$15,000+
A complex uncontested divorce involves negotiating or litigating for disposition of the most complex varieties of marital assets such as marital businesses, multiple properties and investment accounts, complicated custody issues, hotly contentious child support, or spousal support disputes, and the like. These cases are typically the least likely to settle outside of court.

A Word About Fee Awards
While it is never guaranteed, in some circumstances the Court may find it appropriate to order one party to pay some or all of the legal fees incurred by the other party during the course of litigation. Though it should not be assumed or relied upon, we will always discuss the likelihood of an award of fees with our clients.
